![]() ![]() In the mid-1980s, the railroad was then split into the Virginia Division and the New Jersey Division, which both have connections to CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern Railway, two major Class I Railroads. ![]() These four lines are all interconnected through WW, Conrail, CSXT, or NS tracks. The Tuckahoe Village Train Station: is situated on Cape May County Routes 659 / Railroad Avenue and 557 / Mill Road, south of NJ State Route 49 and west of NJ State Route 50. Today, New Jersey no longer features commuter trains of the PRR and CNJ, and passenger trains like the The Blue Comet (CNJs premier train) and the Readings Crusader but several state transit services continue to ferry commuters from suburbia to downtown Manhattan and other urban locations in the region. The initial train carried lumber from Gore to Winchester, VA.The New Jersey Division has four lines: the Mainline, Seashore Line, Deerfield Branch, and Bridgeton Port Branch. Thus, The Intermountain Construction Company began working on the Winchester & Western Railroad, with the first train taking track in January, 1918. In the years following, which included the First World War, rail traffic was on the rise leading to an increased need for more rail ties. Wildwood Crest is much calmer and upscale, while North Wildwood is a favorite among longtime vacationers for being quiet and clean. Wildwood is family-friendly, although the downtown area is where most of the tourists and party crowds gather. The line running to the north of Sunset Boulevard seems to have been active after storms damaged and eventually destroyed the trolley car line along the beachfront in the 20s.
